Magic Coyote

Did a quick paint-over of a sketch from a while back of this coyote.  The sketch started out as a fox, but in coloring I felt it looked more coyote than fox so I stuck with that.

Sometimes it's fun just to pick an inconsequential sketch and color it without any epic vision of what it's gonna look like in the end.  I'm always very emotionally involved in pieces from my stories.  It's mostly exhilarating but can be a little draining at times.  I like doing smaller paintings like this one alongside more involved works to warmup, keep new ideas running, and relax.
