The Sprawling Picture-filled Catch-up Post

Woodland ACEOs by Veronica Kosowski

Hi Blogger friends!  It has been way too long since I've posted anything here!  In these busy times I've come to really appreciate Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr for fast posts, but still want to keep this blog alive.  So here's to the sprawling picture-filled catch-up post!  :)

So what have I been up to in the last month and a half?  Lots of things.

I've almost caught up in one of my amazing Chris Oatley classes.  I know I rave about Oatley Academy a lot, but seriously, if you're looking for the best online art classes you can't really get any more awesome or affordable than his.

My younger sister was in town, so I took two weeks off of personal projects to spend more time with her.  We're basically twins even though we're three years apart in age and we always get up to ridiculous amounts of fun when we're reunited.  This picture sums up our relationship (and of course we had to buy these guys when we saw them in the mall.  How can anyone resist No Face!).

I'm well on my way to finishing a color version of the knight drawing I posted last time.  I've been sharing sneak-peeks of him on Instagram.  Here are some work in progress shots from my computer screen.

I'm really looking forward to sharing this painting with you when it's done!  I've learned so much painting it and it's one of my favorite pieces this year.

One of my other goals has been revamping my Etsy shop, starting with creating some new pieces.  Below are two little ACEOs I painted traditionally in acrylics that are available now in my shop.  I'm planning on opening some custom item listings for character sketches and paintings soon, as well as posting new prints.  I'll make sure to let you know as soon as that happens.

Last but definitely not least, I've been working on a super secret collaboration project with one of my good friends and amazing artists, Matthew Nielsen. We're über excited to share more about this project as soon as we can.

It may be a little quiet this week on the blog as I'm in the process of moving house, but as soon as that's done I plan to return in full force!  With Inktober and CTNX just around the corner, it's time to get that pencil moving!

What have you been up to of late?  Any awesome artistic news?  Any cool adventures?  Feel free to share in the comments, I love reading and responding to them!  :)
